Müggelsee
Berlin's biggest lake, with lidos, sailing boats and the Müggelturm. In summer the loveliest recreation area of the capital.
As Berlin's largest lake, the Müggelsee is the local recreation spot in the city's south-east. Swimming, sailing, stand-up paddling and shoreline walks are all on the agenda here, and the Müggelturm opens up a fine view over lake and forests.
The lake lies in Treptow-Köpenick, some 40 minutes from the centre by S-Bahn (S3) and bus. It goes well together with Köpenick's historic old town and a boat tour on the Spree and Dahme.
