Brandenburg Gate
Berlin's world-famous emblem and a sign of reunification. It stands on Pariser Platz, right beside the Adlon and the Holocaust Memorial.
The Brandenburg Gate is where everything in Berlin comes together, and it practically invites you to begin a city stroll here. From Pariser Platz the Reichstag, the Holocaust Memorial and Unter den Linden are only a few minutes' walk away, so several sights can be linked in a small area.
The gate makes its finest impression in the early morning or in the evening, once the lighting comes on and the coach tours have moved on. The Brandenburger Tor S- and U-Bahn station lies directly beneath it, and embassies, the Adlon and several cafés stand around the square.
