The German Bundestag meets inside the Reichstag, and thanks to Norman Foster's glass dome it also doubles as a viewpoint with sweeping views over the government quarter. Entry to the dome is free but calls for a booking, which you are best off arranging before your trip.
In the surroundings you can walk to the Chancellery, the Tiergarten and the Brandenburg Gate. The nearby Hauptbahnhof and the Brandenburger Tor S-Bahn station make for a convenient arrival.
