Charlottenburg Palace
The city's largest palace, all baroque splendour with palace gardens, Belvedere and mausoleum. Half a day is plenty for a visit.
As Berlin's largest palace complex, Charlottenburg Palace brings a piece of Prussian history into the heart of City West. State rooms, the orangery and above all the far-reaching baroque and landscape garden easily fill half a day, and the park is open free of charge.
The palace sits in western Charlottenburg and can be reached by U-Bahn and bus, while the Ku'damm and KaDeWe are only a short distance away. A lovely spot for a quieter day far from the bustle of Mitte.
