2 Days Families with kids (ages 4-12)

Berlin with kids

A Berlin weekend for the whole family: Zoo, Tempelhof Field, Mauerpark flea market and the Natural History Museum - paced for kids, with plenty of breaks.

Day 1

Tiergarten, Zoo & viewpoint

A day among the greenery: the Zoo in the morning, a Tiergarten picnic at midday and the TV Tower as a reward to finish.

  1. Morning
    9:30 - 13:00

    Berlin Zoo

Germany's oldest zoo. In 3-4 hours you'll manage pandas, elephants and the aquarium.

💡 Tip: Buying online saves the queue. As a combo ticket the aquarium works out cheaper.
  2. Lunch
    13:30 - 15:30

    Picnic in Tiergarten

The vast park is ideal for burning off energy after 3 hours of zoo. Playgrounds are dotted throughout.

  3. Afternoon
    16:30 - 18:00

    TV Tower viewpoint

The speedy lift and the rotating restaurant right at the top are a big hit with kids.

Day 2

Open space & Mauerpark Sunday

A morning of skating and kite-flying on Tempelhof Field, then on to Mauerpark with its flea market and Bearpit Karaoke.

  1. Morning
    10:00 - 12:30

    Tempelhof Field

The decommissioned airport is now Europe's largest inner-city open space. Bring bikes or skates, or rent them on site.

  2. Lunch
    13:30 - 17:00

    Mauerpark (Sundays)

Sundays bring the flea market, with open-air Bearpit Karaoke in the afternoon. Kids watch while parents browse.
