Berlin's luxury scene is compact but internationally competitive. First-time visitors who value short walks to the landmarks are perfectly placed here, though they also pay the highest room rates in the country.
Look less at the star count than at what the house actually delivers: its own spa and pool, a restaurant of real standing, a 24/7 concierge and quiet rooms despite the central setting. Prices swing hard - during trade fairs, Fashion Week and around New Year they climb steeply, while in January and February the same suites often go for half.
