Gendarmenmarkt
For many the finest square in the city: the Deutscher Dom, Französischer Dom and Konzerthaus come together as a harmonious ensemble.
Many regard the Gendarmenmarkt as the most beautiful square in Berlin: the concert hall together with the German and French cathedrals form a harmonious ensemble. During Advent it becomes one of the city's most atmospheric Christmas markets.
Located centrally in Mitte, the square is linked on foot with Friedrichstraße, Unter den Linden and Checkpoint Charlie. Close by are the U-Bahn stations Französische Straße, Hausvogteiplatz and Stadtmitte (U2/U6).
